PPI Razor Program for Audi R8 The retail price of the kit, in paintable carbon fiber, is $65,000. In glossy carbon fiber, it is $75,000. Please note that the glossy version requires the customer to decide what to do with the doors, roof, and A Pillars. Most clients have these parts painted parts matte black. Brakes Please note that the suspensions from PPI Design are not off the shelf kits - spring rates have been developed in the US after much evaluation on the street, and on the track. The coil-over kit allow the driver to lower the car between 10 and 30mm, and disables the OE Magnetic Ride Control. The hydraulic lift system raises the nose of the car by up to 45mm (almost 2 inches) at the touch of a cockpit-mounted switch, and operates up to 50 MPH (the car lowers automatically above this speed). *NOTE: Price is with Exchange of Clients OEM Steering Wheel

Audi R8 based PPI Razor GTR Unveiled The all-new PPI RAZOR GTR limited production Supercar – Intense driving pleasure in a strikingly bold design. The Exclusive German Audi-tuner, PPI Automotive Design GmbH intensifies the fire and presents the special limited production Supercar, the PPI RAZOR GTR. Performance The essential part of the motor alteration is the incorporation of a specially engineered supercharger. In addition, a ram-charged sport air filter system and a high performance exhaust system made of stainless steel have been designed and added specifically to work in conjunction with the supercharger system. These components are precisely adjusted to each other with the help of a new ignition map for motor electronics. The result, after this extensive modification, is a car with up to 580hp / 427 kW at 7,400 rpm, a maximum torque of 600 Nm at 6,200 rpm at its disposal, and a weight decrease of 250 kg over its serial counterpart (serial curb weight 1,580 kg). Providing the PPI RAZOR GTR with the ability to achieve speeds from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.7 seconds with a maximum top speed of 332 km/h. This insures the proper performance to easily meet the demands of its motorsports and enthusiast clientele. PPI offers several engine kits for the Audi R8 Models. Aerodynamics The PPI RAZOR GTR front bumper replaces the serial bumper and the new design in conjunction with a specially engineered front diffuser, reduces lifting forces at the front axle. Larger air inlets in connection with a new full LED-headlight unit present the two-seater with an even more athletic face. More importantly, these air inlets feed the radiators with additional fresh air and channels through the new front hood to provide optimal cooling to the brake system. PPI sideskirts highlight the sporty profile of the GTR and also diffuses the airflow around the sides of the car for improved aerodynamic stability. In order to perfectly balance out the down-force behaviour of the front-axle with the rear axle, PPI equips the RAZOR GTR with a special rear wing with an adjustable Gurney-flap. The motor cover, made of the light high-tech polycarbonate material Makrolon®, also has specially designed Carbon Fibre ram-charged air inlets that replace the heavy OEM Engine cover and aid in cooling, ensuring the consistent performance of the RAZOR GTR. Aiding in the engine cooling, are the newly designed side blades, rear fenders and rear bumper allow for additional motor bay and exhaust cooling that, in conjunction with the Carbon Fibre rear diffuser, optimises the airflow over and through the rear portion of this sharp performance car. The RAZOR GT/GTR packages are offered in 4 levels. The core bodykit is the RAZOR GT, this is the widebody package in paintable carbon fiber without the engine cover/air channels and without the rear spoiler. Handling PPI also developed a special high-performance braking system available only for the RAZOR GTR that can be identified by its metallic orange-coloured brake callipers. The optimal deceleration and perfect pedal pressure control is now achieved by enlarged 6-piston callipers in connection with extra-large discs measuring 380 x 36 millimetres at the front and 356 x 32 mm discs at the rear axle providing greater pad surface contact area and heat dissipation. Nothing has been left untouched, as is evidenced by the new coil over kit developed in conjunction with technology partner KW Automotive GmbH. This system has been specially adjusted to the needs of the PPI RAZOR GTR. And comes equipped with a Hydraulic Lift System, which can increase ground clearance by up to 45 millimetres if needed and therefore enables the driver to enter underground car parks or drive over speed bumps. PPI gives Audi R8 801hp via Bi-Centrifugal Supercharger Churning out a massive 801 bhp (597 kW / 811 PS), PPI lays claim to being the "first and only company to combine a centrifugal supercharger with the R8 V8 4.2 FSI motor in 2009, and now they offer an innovative and completely unique Bi-Centrifugal Supercharging system, once again, tearing away from the competition and boosting the car into the stratosphere where few supercars enter." The complete performance package consists of two R48 bi-centrifugal superchargers with magnetic coupling, up-rated pistons, rings, connecting rods, bearings, improved valvetrain, water-to-air charge cooler, special sport air filter in a carbon fiber air box, roof ram-charged air intake system, sport exhaust and remapped ECU. Compression ratio is 9.2:1. In the transmission 1st and 2nd gears are strengthened and a longer final gear is installed for higher top speed. When all is said and done, horsepower kicks up to 801 bhp (597 kW / 811 PS) and torque at 860Nm @ 5910 rpm. 0 to 100 km/h takes 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph). More than 4 years have been spent in development with technology partner NOVIDEM AG in creating the unique B-CS system for the Audi R8. This no-expense spared solution includes extensive modifications. The B-CS system is driven by a Magnetic clutch with an integrated autonomous oil lubrication system. In addition, compressed air leaving the supercharger is further cooled with the use of a separate charge-cooling system that uses its own radiators to cool the air before it enters the motor. In a high output engine, such as that found in the Audi R8, this produces a significant advantage over other "charging" systems currently on the market. Because the Centrifugal Supercharger uses very few moving parts, reliability is greatly improved. In addition to its simplicity, this system produces very little heat because of its internal compression ratio and is currently the most thermally efficient supercharger. Unlike other charging systems, the PPI B-CS system is mounted on the sides of the engine compartment and is isolated from the engine, eliminating the normally resulting "heat soak". This placement does not increase engine temperature, nor does it allow the engine's heat to enter the charger thereby further increasing the efficiency of the supercharging system. Summary of Features and Modifications: Engine Modification - Stronger racing-derived internal components are at the core of the PPI system and Includes: up-rated pistons, rings, connecting rods, bearings, and improved valvetrain. Compression ratio of 9.2:1. Manual Transmission Modification - Strengthened 1st and 2nd gears and longer ratio final gear for achieving higher terminal speed. *note: currently only available for manual vehicles. ECU Mapping - extensive re-mapping of the ECU software using our own binary, extensive road and dyno test cycles, with acceleration and deceleration tests for drivability smoothness and ECU fuel management. PPI is able to further adapt the system to specific fuel types of different regions to ensure perfect functionality and optimization of the Supercharging system. Sport Exhaust - PPI Dual Inlet Sport Exhaust specifically designed and optimized to work with our Supercharging System, The sport exhaust develops greatly reduced backpressure resulting in even greater power and melodic sound for unsurpassed pure driving pleasure. Centrifugal Supercharger - Two R48 Bi-Centrifugal Superchargers with Magnetic coupling. Chargecooling - independently cooled water-to-air heat exchanger. System is isolated from the engine's cooling system. Magnetic Clutch and autonomous oil lubrication system - The magnetic clutch allows the system to properly and smoothly engage when needed. It has an independent controller that does not allow the system to engage unless the engine is at optimal temperature. In addition, the comfort and transition of power is enhanced by the use of this system, i.e. There is no "bucking", the on/off sensation felt at low speeds. This affords greater comfort when driving at low speeds and shows the dynamics and development of our system to be practical in daily driving. Air Intake System - A special sport air filter in a Carbon Fiber air box is used to ensure optimal and cold airflow to the Supercharger. An additional power increase is seen with the PPI Roof Ram-Charged Air Intake System (currently available on the PPI RAZOR GTR, GTR-10, and GTR-800 and can be ordered separately for any Audi R8 Coupe). In unison, these components with the aid of custom engine operating maps complement each other to provide an ideal solution to the impressive realized power increase.
